Biography

Born in Nantes, I grew up in Essonne and currently live in Loire-Atlantique, France.

I began painting in 1987 as part of a collective of Parisian graffiti artists, creating realistic characters and portraits with spray paint, combined with graffiti lettering. I also briefly attended the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris.

After taking a break from painting, I returned to it by exploring a variety of media and techniques.

While I continue to create graffiti, both spontaneously and through commissioned projects, I am now represented by Carré d'Artistes (Montpellier, Lille, Le Touquet, Copenhagen, and others). My work is also featured on Artsper through Art Gallery Show Monaco and Galerie Pierre et Gwladys.

I would describe my style as Urban Pop Art, drawing inspiration from a blend of visual cultures and artistic movements:

Graffiti and Street Art:

Having started my artistic journey within the Parisian graffiti scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s, I remain deeply influenced by the raw energy and spontaneity of urban art. This influence is reflected in the dynamism of my compositions.

Pop Art and Popular Culture:

The aesthetic of Pop Art, with its vibrant colours and references to mass culture, is a strong presence in my work. I incorporate popular icons, creating a dialogue between art and contemporary culture.

Comic Books and Comics:

These influences can be seen in the graphic style of my artworks, characterised by bold lines and narrative compositions.

Abstract Art:

Splashes, drips and dripping techniques create contrasting chromatic areas that structure and energise the overall composition.

From a technical perspective, I combine a wide range of media, including spray paint, acrylics, oil paint, markers, collage and gold leaf.

I paint on canvas and also reinterpret iconic objects such as XXL Playmobil figures, busts and spray paint cans.

My work reflects a fusion of urban art energy and the richness of popular culture, offering an artistic vision that is both accessible and expressive, while adding a playful and contemporary dimension.
